If your team works with multiple currencies, you can now choose which currency to use when editing a plan, instead of being automatically redirected to the default country currency.
What’s new?
When creating a plan, if multi-currency planning is enabled for your subsidiary (market), you will be able to select the currency for that plan.
After clicking Create Plan and choosing your plan privacy (Public or Private), you will land on the Plan Settings page. This is where you normally define the plan name, dates, and metric types. You will now also see a currency selector, allowing you to choose the currency for the plan.
⚠️ Please make sure you use only one currency per plan.
Choosing a currency in the plan setup will restrict your planning entries to one currency only, which matches how SAP works.
If you need to plan in multiple currencies, create a plan for each.
If your subsidiary (market) only uses one currency, you'll have only one option in the above dropdown.
How to Manage Your Currency View at the Organization Level
If your market uses multiple currencies, the Total shown in the Cost field (within the Planning section at the organization level) will default to the market’s primary currency.
For example, in the Canada market, totals are displayed in CAD by default. By clicking on the total cell, a drop-down menu appears, allowing you to select other currencies used in your market plans. When you choose a different currency, the total is automatically converted and displayed in that currency.
Please note that this feature only affects how values are displayed at the organization level. It does not modify or impact any plans.
