Understanding user roles

Camphouse has four user roles, each designed for a different type of user. This article explains what each role can do, why it exists, and how to choose the right one for each person in your organisation.

πŸ’‘ For a detailed, feature-by-feature breakdown of what each role can access, see the User Permissions Matrix.

The four roles

Administrator

Has full access to the platform, including all settings, user management, and configuration. This role is for those responsible for how Camphouse is set up and maintained across the organisation.

Editor

Can create and manage plans, targets, and results, and can also modify Media Inventory and Tags. This role suits users who need broad working access, including responsibility for maintaining shared data structures.

Contributor

For active planners who need to create and update plans, targets, and results, but do not need access to platform configuration. Unlike Editors, Contributors cannot modify Media Inventory, Tags, or settings β€” keeping those areas in the hands of the right people.

Viewer

Has read-only access. Viewers can explore plans, reports, and targets but cannot create or edit content. This role is ideal for stakeholders who need visibility without the ability to make changes.

ℹ️ Access levels may differ for users operating across subsidiary accounts. Refer to the User Permissions Matrix for a full breakdown.
