Planning: End Date change - No Plan Unlock Required

Previously, once a plan was live and committed, making changes to certain fields, including end-date extension, was required to unlock the plan. This process has now been simplified.

How Plan Locking Works (Reminder)

When a plan is committed:

  • The Plan Setup page becomes locked.

  • Users can no longer modify the core “shell” information, such as Signature, Division, Vendor...

Only a limited set of updates is allowed:

  • Add a media type

  • Modify the plan name

  • Change the end date

  • Update the Campaign description

However, even for these allowed changes, users have to:

  • Contact the Camphouse team via the “Need Help” button.

  • Request the plan to be unlocked before making updates.

What’s Changed

Planners now have more flexibility when working with plan dates, without needing to unlock the plan.

  • You can add media entries with an end date beyond the global plan end date defined during plan creation.

  • If a media entry includes dates outside the plan’s overall date range:

    • The impacted cell will appear highlighted in red.

    • Data will still save successfully.

    • The plan can still be submitted for approval.

What This Means for You

  • No need to request an unlock when your update relates to end date adjustments.

  • You can continue planning with greater flexibility, even if timelines evolve.

  • Visual indicators (red cells) ensure you stay aware of date 'inconsistencies' without blocking your progress.
